About Springtown
Springtown is a tiny town (83 residents at the 2020 census; estimated 93 in 2025) in southwest Benton County between Highfill and Gentry. First settled in the 1840s and platted in 1871, it was named for a spring near the original town site; its post office ran from 1871 to 1998. At just 0.54 square miles, it's one of Arkansas's smallest incorporated towns — but it holds a gem: the Flint Creek Headwaters Preserve, donated by the Wasson family beginning in 2016 (per Wikipedia, read September 24, 2026).
