About Suffield

Suffield (motto: "Our Roots Run Deep") is a town of about 15,750 people on the west bank of the Connecticut River, 16 miles north of Hartford and bordering Massachusetts — it was once part of Massachusetts before the 1749 border correction. Main Street's designated historic district, with its green, three churches, Suffield Academy, and colonial and Victorian homes, typifies a New England town.
